What: Restore The 4 Outreach Event
When: Sunday, March 30 at 3:00 p.m.
Where: Port Angeles Library Carver Room (2210 S Peabody St, Port Angeles, WA 98362)
Rayonier #4, located on the corner of Chase Street and Lauridsen Boulevard, is one of only six remaining Willamette locomotives and almost one hundred years old! She has been on display in Port Angeles since 1960, where generations of locals and visitors have admired her. As part of the ongoing restoration project, asbestos has been removed from the locomotive, making the site safe for future restoration work.
We look forward to learning more about this invaluable piece of our community’s history in collaboration with the Nor’Wester Rotary Club of Port Angeles, the North Olympic Peninsula Railroaders, and others in the community.
