The City of Port Angeles will launch the redesign of its website, www.cityofpa.us, on January 27, 2023. Developed in partnership with website provider CivicPlus, the updated design features a new look and feel to create an enhanced user experience, while offering improved navigation and access to important City information.
The redesign is part of a broader focus to modernize City services and increase community engagement. The website updates were facilitated by CivicPlus at no additional cost.
On the updated site, users will be able to scroll the new homepage to view dynamic and more community-centric content, including important project information and updates, weather-related athletic field conditions, and a community events calendar. Using analytics, the City determined which webpages are most visited or most searched for by our users. The new design prominently features many of these pages, including Garbage Collection, Job Openings, Meetings & Agendas, Online Payments and Permit Center, on the homepage.
Other enhanced features include:
- Mobile Responsiveness – Our website’s content will better conform to any device.
- Navigation – The main menu has been reorganized and new content added, including a new “How Do I” tab. This will help citizens to locate the information and services they need, faster.
- Modern Design – Our website’s layout has been updated to utilize space more effectively.
The feature sets offered by CivicPlus and included in the previous web design will remain in place. That means, if you’ve previously created an account on the City’s website or signed up to receive eNotifications, your login information will remain the same. Existing subscribers will continue to receive News & Announcements via email or SMS.
