The City of Port Angeles is now accepting applications for the AWC Center for Quality Communities (CQC) Scholarship. The scholarship is available through a statewide competitive process for students who are actively engaged in their city government, community, or school, and plan to attend an accredited college or trade school in fall 2023.
The Port Angeles City Council will select one student nominee for consideration by the CQC. Scholarship recipients will be notified by the CQC in March 2023. All scholarship recipients will be introduced during the CQC luncheon at AWC’s Annual Conference in Spokane on June 22, 2023.
Student Eligibility
To be eligible, students must be:
- Active in community leadership and civic service through city government, community groups, or school, either now or in the past;
- Eligible to earn a high school diploma, homeschool diploma, or GED in spring/summer 2023;
- Planning to continue education in the 2023-24 academic year at an accredited college or trade school at least half-time; and
- A Washington state resident.
