[ARCHIVED] Academy Graduation

PAPD Police Blotter 1

On May 25, 2022 Officer Jason Hooper graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy in Burien. Officer Hooper started with PAPD in October and attended the next available 720 hour academy class, which took about five months to complete. As an academy recruit, Officer Hooper started with a class of 29 other recruits. All 30 of them graduated together. It is unusual for a class not to loose one or more recruits along the way.
Congratulations

to Officer Hooper, and to his graduating class, which included officers from police departments and deputies from sheriff's offices across Washington State.

Now Officer Hooper will report to Red Squad for 14 weeks of field training with a series of Field Training Officers who will ride in the car with Officer Hooper and evaluate him daily on 32 performance standards. Upon successful completion of field training, Officer Hooper will be certified for solo patrol. Good Luck Officer Hooper.
In the photos below Officer Hooper with Deputy Chief Jason Viada and Sergeant Kevin Miller, and Officer Hooper with his family.
