The case began on Sunday, January 3, 2021 when Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the vicinity of 11th and “I” Street. A second call to police reported what was likely the same suspect following a woman to her home two blocks west of the first report. The suspect left that home after the reporting party’s husband displayed a firearm. When the first officer arrived at the first call the Officer found a victim, a woman in her 80s, with a serious stab wound to the neck. At first the victim appeared to be dead, but medics arrived and she was ultimately flown to Harborview and survived. Other officers in the area located Anderson and after a brief investigation arrested him and booked him into the jail.
