CASE UPDATE: YSLAVA SENTENCED TO 41 MONTHS IN PRISON

Orlando Jose Yslava plead guilty on April 18, 2022 to Accomplice to Robbery 1 and was sentenced to serve 41 months in prison to be followed by 18 months of community custody. The case against Alivia Konopaski is pending. Please see case history below:

01/26/22 CASE UPDATE: YSLAVA AND KONOPASKI IN CUSTODY

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at about 3:00 PM Port Angeles Police Officers located and arrested Orlando Yslava and Alivia Konopaski for their outstanding warrants. The dayshift officers involved in the arrest are in the photos below. Case History Follows:

01/25/22 ROBBERY CASE UPDATE: ARREST WARRANTS ISSUED

Monday, January 24, 2022 after reviewing the facts of the case the prosecutor presented the case to a superior court judge who issued arrest warrants for the Robbery that was committed near 3rd and Lincoln on Sunday. The following suspects are wanted for Robbery 1 and Assault with a Deadly Weapon

YSLAVA, ORLANDO J. , age 28 of Port Angeles and

KONOPASKI, ALIVIA L. , age 21 of Port Angeles (Photos below)

CASE SUMMARY:

On Sunday, January 23, 2022 at about 11:15 AM Port Angeles Police Officers responded to a report of an incident at a grocery store near 3rd and Lincoln. The investigation indicated that a male suspect stole a purse from a victim's shopping cart and ran from the store. The victim, a 79 year old woman, followed the suspect in an effort to prevent her purse from being taken away. The suspect got into a car waiting in the lot. The victim was standing between the open door of the car and a suspect seated in the car trying to get her purse back when an accomplice drove the car in reverse, which caused the victim to be knocked down, and drug by the door of the car. The suspects fled in the vehicle. 

The victim was transported to Olympic Medical Center with substantial injuries. Several witnesses were helpful in identifying the suspects. PAPD encourages anyone with additional information about this case to call 452-4545 and provide information. to any available officer. Further, PAPD encourages the suspects to peacefully present themselves for arrest.
